How should a woman behave in the context of today's social values (if there still exist any)?Recently, a female friend's behaviour triggered many questions in my puny and always-malfunctioning brain.
The setting was at a club, celebrating another girl friend's 21st birthday. Everything was still alright, well as usual, until a few characters got drunk and wasted on the dance floor.
She blurted out to me that she has something on with this common guy friend at the bar while waiting for her drink. Apparently, she was a little tipsy. I felt disgusted nonetheless because I knew she has a boyfriend.
I walked away from the bar and went back to join my other friends. Well, I decided to overlook it since, well, she is rather drunk. A few hours later, she was found hugging and carassing that guy. I was utterly upset because it confirmed my disappointment in her. Suddenly she lost all respect from me. This is something I cannot talk about on my own blog. I feel frustrated. Not because I was lesbian (like one of my homo guy friend suggested) . But as a friend. I realised maybe she doesn't have values. Or rather most girls today don't have values.
I thought maybe I am still living in the stone age, the old spinster going on forever that girls should be good. Maybe the people today have no regard for consequences. How would the boyfriend think? Would you like to know your partner has done something like that to you?
I was told she does not like that guy she was carassing. Okay. I am so convinced. There are some things you cannot get away with just because you were drunk.
Fellow Lee, enlighten me.
